Hi, I’m Brianna meyers, LMHCA
(Pronouns: she/her).
Brianna is a master’s level clinician with licensures/certifications as licensed mental health counselor associate (LMHCA), substance use disorder professional trainee (SUDPt) and certified autism informed professional (ASDI). She graduated from California State University, Bakersfield with a B.A. in Anthropology with a Minor in Philosophy in 2012. Brianna took a break from school to raise her family. She graduated from Grand Canyon University with an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with emphases in trauma and childhood & adolescent developmental disorders in 2025. She decided to become a counselor after her personal experience of processing her own trauma and the support that her counselor provided her; this drove her to helping others.
Brianna currently works full-time as case resource manager at the developmental disabilities administration in the state of Washington, working with civil transitions with clients who have had competency evaluations that have found them unable to stand trial due to a diagnosed or suspected intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD). Brianna uses an integrative approach when working with clients; utilizing trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Solution-focused therapy (SFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and/or motivational interviewing (MI). The therapies used are informed by client assessment and through therapeutic rapport in the first few sessions. Brianna has worked in school-based youth programs with LGBTQIA+ students, crisis and involuntary treatment facilities and as a case manager with developmental disabilities administration (DDA) working with individuals experiencing crisis, jail/court involvement, trauma, developmental disorders and/or substance use disorders.
